I am able to relate to the contents of the course basically because it helps in so many ways. I am now able to telling the time in Spanish, talking about my family and relate to other everyday activities in Spanish etc., it also provides me with the necessary guidance for Spanish lessons e.g. with the use of the MI Theory and Affective filter theory will help the potential growth and development of learners.
This course has changed my overall prospective and views about Spanish even though this is the first time I have been exposed to Spanish. This course contains various areas that are of great importance such as MI theory, affective filter etc. The use of the videos, recordings etc to guide us through our learning have been of great help to me and students.
The use of the computer to convey learning is one of the best way that have been introduce in teaching since it is of modern technology. Having been able to use the computer is amazing since the information is always on line for us to practice. This is beneficial because of these reasons:
Ø If the teacher is not around, students are still able to go online and abstract information in order to practices.
Ø If not at school or have leaser time or doing house chores etc, students can go on the web site and listen to the recordings to improve the pronunciations etc.
From the inception of this course I wasn’t fund about Spanish since I never did it before ,I had doubts and negativities, I even questioned myself, however after being introduced to the subject I felt comfortable. I am happy that I have perused and open my mind to learn Spanish because I am now enjoying it. My reason for this change, derived from the experiences encountered on the web ,especially the game that are posted there that relates to Spanish ,such as fast time, quiz ,hangman , word craft etc. but my greatest motivation came from my teacher who comfort me in times of need , who cares about her students and made Spanish fun and interesting . There isn’t a time when I felt the felling of boredom; instead there is a rush of anxiety to concur the task at hand. It is a privilege to have indulged myself in such a task and having such great opportunity.
In some areas I am not so perfect but I am still persistence. One of my favorite tasks was the making of the pop up book and puppets .I really didn’t dislike anything, since my approach toward Spanish is to enjoy and make the best of such privilege offered. “Opportunities come one in a life time” and having been able to learn a new subject to gain new and better understanding is a great privilege, thus I can honestly say that I am enjoying everything so far since I have been exposed to new experiences.
I think that this course is one of the best offered due to the technological advancement in teaching, it has a approach that is very full filling, it is less time consuming and it gives myself and students the motivation to study and pursue Spanish.
In conclusion I recommend that other teachers adapt to this teaching style since it is more beneficial, interesting and easier etc., thus students will be eager to learn.
